The 2019 Ford Focus revealed

KUALA LUMPUR: Ford has been releasing spy shots and teasers of Focus for about a year now. And now, the Ford Focus has made its world premiere in China. All the three variants of the car, the hatchback, the wagon, and the sedan were showcased there.

The all-new Ford Focus comes with a wide, upside-down trapezoidal grille at the front. It also has a pair of sleek, upswept headlights. The front fascia has also got newly defined edges. This look is shared in all the three variants.

The third window design has now finally been removed in this Focus hatchback’s model. In its place, a reverse kink rear window treatment has been introduced. To give the car a wider stance, its fenders have been flared outwards. The sedan variant is significantly different from the hatch from the middle. The sedan is designed with rear doors that are quite long and far more upright which infuses a formal roofline appearance. Among other variations, the sedan also has a longer set of lights and the elements are also different. However, it can be noted easily that the wagon variant is the one which is most upright among all. The wagon has retained most of the hatchback’s appearance in terms of the lines, the upright tailgate, and a rear fascia treatment similar to the hatch but the wagon comes with a long tail end design.

All the three body styles of the Ford Focus share the same interior design. It is equipped with an angular form and has a variety of geometric shapes. A flat dashboard along with an infotainment screen has also been installed.

The Ford Focus is powered by an engine which consists of four turbocharged gas engines and three turbo diesels. The range of this Ecoboost gas engine starts with the 1.0-litre version delivering 85 PS, moving up to 100 PS and 125 PS. For those who want more can opt for the 1.5-litre EcoBoost version which comes with two states of tune; one with 150 PS and tops out at 182 PS.
