One of the special technical highlights of the new F 450 GS is the innovative Easy Ride Clutch system that reduces or eliminates the need to manually operate the clutch lever in most riding situations. This system works in tandem with the BMW Shift Assistant Pro and allows clutchless upshifts and downshifts.

Based on a steel frame, the bike features BMW’s latest GS design language, featuring a GS-typical "beak" at the front mated to an LED headlight with "X" daytime riding light, a slim rear section and a lightweight aluminium swingarm. It comes equipped with a two-part seat as standard, supported by a footrest system with removable rubber grips.

Upon launching the new model, Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, said: "The GS legacy has always been about freedom — the freedom to explore, to adapt, and to push boundaries wherever the road or trail may lead. With the New BMW F 450 GS, we are bringing that same philosophy to a broader audience of riders in Malaysia. This is not a scaled-down model, but a purpose-built machine that embodies everything GS stands for — agility, versatility, and pure riding pleasure — in a package that feels intuitive from the first moment you twist the throttle. Whether navigating city traffic, carving through mountain roads, or tackling off-road terrain, the New BMW F 450 GS delivers the confidence and capability that define the GS name."

He added, “The New BMW F 450 GS answers the demand for machines that are lighter, more manageable, yet uncompromising in quality and technology. It is a bike that rewards spirited riding, handles like an extension of the rider's instincts, and remains composed no matter where the journey takes you. For riders who value substance over size, this is the ultimate GS experience.”
