Extended warranty programme introduced by Yamaha Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia, the official distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in the country, has introduced an extended warranty programme for all the bikes in its range. The said warranty programme is applicable on all Yamaha bikes registered on and after 1st July 2019. It provides for 2-year or 20,000 km of coverage against manufacturing defects.

Datuk Jim Khor, managing director of HLYM, said, “With this new feature, HLYM looks forward to increasing consumer confidence, as well as Yamaha’s competitiveness within the Malaysian automotive industry which would help bring a positive push to the industry as a whole.”

The recently introduced two-year extended warranty programme is only applicable on the motorbike if -

• It is serviced as per the recommended schedule at an authorised Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) dealer
• Uses only genuine company lubricants and spare parts
• It is in standard condition and not modified even a bit
• Additionally, the warranty claim will only be entertained if service records from authorised HLYM dealer with the original receipts of work done are presented

Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia has also issued a pre-delivery checklist, ensuring that all the motorbikes are handed over to the customers in the best condition by the authorised dealers.
