Two new BMW bikes hit Malaysian roads - S 1000 RR and F 900 GS Adventure

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Motorrad Malaysia continues to push the boundaries for Malaysian riders with the launch of two new models - the 2025 BMW S 1000 RR and the 2025 BMW F 900 GS Adventure. 

The S 1000 RR represents a pinnacle of high-performance sport, while the F 900 GS redefines versatility for off-road excursions. Let’s dive deeper to know these new German bikes in detail - 

2025 BMW S 1000 RR 

The latest version of the BMW S 1000 RR features a more aggressive design, state-of-the-art technology, and refined riding dynamics. 

Powering the 2025 BMW S 1000 RR is a 999-cc water- and oil-cooled inline four-cylinder, four-stroke engine, which produces a maximum power of 210 hp at 13,750 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm. It is mated to a claw-shifted 6-speed gearbox, allowing the bike to hit the century sprint in just 3.3 seconds and clock a top speed of over 300 kmph.

Adding to the performance is a new M short-stroke throttle, which responds directly to every command at the throttle. The bike comes with a Riding Mode Pro, including four modes - Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Race. As for advanced tuning, there are three additional RACE PRO modes.

The high-performance engine is paired with a lightweight, aerodynamic design, featuring new side panels and winglets for increased downforce. The front wheel gets a new cover with integrated brake ducts that improve brake cooling.

Standard equipment of the all-new BMW S 1000 RR comprises - 

• Race Package: It includes an M Endurance chain for long-lasting durability and a slip-on exhaust for better performance, and a signature, emotionally rich sound.
• Dynamic Package: It includes Dynamic Damping Control that adapts suspension settings in real-time and offers optimal handling.
• Comfort features: Heated grips, Cruise Control, a pillion seat cover, tyre pressure control, and Riding Mode Pro.

BMW Motorrad Malaysia also offers an optional M Package with the new S 1000 RR. It adds the following track-inspired technology and aesthetic features to the bike - 

• M carbon wheels with M colour strips
• M footrests
• M Endurance or M Sport seat
• Black fuel tank cover 

The standard model comes in striking Blue Stone Metallic with four tapes on the side panels, and two on the winglets, while the M Package is sprayed with Light White Solid / M Motorsport shade, featuring four tapes on the side panels and two on the winglets.

2025 BMW F 900 GS Adventure 

Designed for rugged exploration and long-distance touring, the new BMW F 900 GS Adventure is a versatile bike that can easily take on challenging trails. 

Sprayed in a White-Aluminium Matt colour, the bike has a bold and rugged design with new GS logo side panels, white-aluminium tank cover, white-aluminium radiator covers with new detailing, and a black and grey seat. It also features durable plastic handguards, heated grips, an adjustable aluminium gearshift lever, and an aluminium skid plate for engine protection.

The BMW F 900 GS Adventure is powered by an 895-cc, two-cylinder, four-stroke inline engine that generates 105 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 93 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. It runs from zero to 100 kmph in 3.7 seconds and attains a top speed beyond 200 kmph.
