Yamaha XSR155 debuts in Malaysia at RM 12,998

KUALA LUMPUR: Yamaha has finally brought the XSR155 to the local shores, giving Malaysians another reason to ride with style and confidence. The Yamaha XSR155 is a retro-styled naked motorcycle that shares the same platform as the Yamaha MT-15 and combines classic styling with modern engineering.

Yamaha XSR155: Price

The Yamaha XSR155 is priced at RM 12,998 (excluding road tax, insurance and registration) in Malaysia. Included in the price is a two-year or 20,000 km warranty, whichever comes first. 

Yamaha XSR155: Engine and transmission

Powering the new Yamaha roadster is a 155-cc single-cylinder, SOHC, liquid-cooled engine that churns out a maximum power of 18.9 hp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.4 Nm at 8,500 rpm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox equipped with an assist-and-slipper clutch.

Inspired by the larger XSR series, the bike features a retro design with a round LED headlamp, a round LED taillight with LED flashers, a heritage-style seat, and a teardrop-shaped fuel tank. The round digital LCD instrument display features an authentic retro style combined with contemporary technology.

The new Yamaha retro roadster is offered in three colour options in Malaysia -

• Malar Green
• Classic Silver
• Royale Black

The Yamaha XSR155 will hit the local authorised Yamaha dealers in the fourth quarter of 2026.
