Engine, Mileage & variants:

Grand Vitara's built in ladder frame is powered with 2.0-litre, 4 speed auto transmission engine that delivers maximum output of 140 PS at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 183 Nm at 4000 rpm. The acceleration of this crossover may be a disappointment for some Malaysian customers as the car reaches from 0 to 100 km/ hr mark in 12.5 seconds with a top speed of 176 km/hr. The fuel economy of this crossovers rests at a moderate 11 km/l.

Exteriors:

The Grand Vitara Facelift is now equipped with garnished SSPP (Suzuki Super Polypropylene) front bumper which is known for its light weight and remains unpainted to keep scratches less visible. The company has made no significant changes in rear and continues to have a prominent spare wheel that's not quite visible in automobiles these days. The dimensions of car measure (4500 mm x 1810 mm x 1683 mm) (L X W X H ) and a wheel base of 2640 mm that is capable enough to provide adequate leg room and head room to the occupants. To give a smooth experience in diversified terrains, the car is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels with a tyre size of 225/ 65 R17.

Interiors:

Grand Vitara offers enough space for its 5 occupants to move with comfort as the seating arrangement is flexible and the positions can be arranged to cater passengers for further flexibility. The black and silver colored dashboard gives the Grand Vitara a significant look and enthralls the feel of sportiness in the driver. The center console for handy storage, ultra flexible seating and convenient drink holders adds to the comfort of the occupants. The music system in Grand Vitara includes single and in dash six CD tuner which can be controlled through the steering wheel. The Crossover offers a huge boot space of 1386 litres with rear seats down that is enough for luggage on long routes.

Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous:

To improve the strength of the body, the structure is made with high strength steel that gives Grand Vitara a monocoque body. In addition to this the car is installed with SRS Dual front airbags to ensure the safety of the occupants. The ventilated disc brakes on front and drums on rear works collaboratively with Anti- Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution System (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) to improve the stopping time and handling of the car effectively. If you are looking for a compact SUV with enough space for family and friends then Grand Vitara is a an obvious choice. But its not so impressive engine and high competition within the segment might affect its sales.
