Not a credible tourer for covering long distances
The Honda CBR650R is a well-designed bike. Over bumps, it feels composed, with minimal dive at road speeds under hard braking, allowing you to make the front four-piston calipers full use without any kind of intrusion from the ABS. Although non-adjustable, they have been set up adequately for a session on your favourite switchbacks. However, over more rutted tarmac, it can crash over, so you need to be a bit more cautious. It is also heavier than most of its rivals and feels lazier due to which means when tipping into a bend you need to put more effort. Once leaned over, this bike feels planted. The seat is very uncomfortable.
