Pocket rocket mixing track and traffic
I bought the updated RC 390 to play around on the track, but it's surprisingly helpful in getting from Subang to Cyberjaya during the week. It's easier to get through traffic with the smaller fairing, and the new middle engine makes it less likely that the clutch will slip at lights. As soon as it hits Sepang's south course, it revs happily to the maximum, and the quickshifter snaps gears like fireworks. When I hit a wet curb, cornering ABS saved me, showing that KTM's electronics aren't just for show. Even though the stock seat is harder than nasi lemak sambal, I forget how painful it is when the front wheel lifts up on flyovers. If you are careful with the gas pedal, you can get about 25 km per liter.
