Chevrolet Camaro pick-up just-for-fun renderings appeared

KUALA LUMPUR: Chevrolet Camaro pony car is one of the brand's most popular models, whose retro yet modern styling cues were later adopted by crossovers like Chevrolet Blazer and the Chevrolet Trailblazer. Currently, in the sixth generation, the model would be retiring in the coming years. Well, a creative car enthusiast tuningcar_ps on Instagram tried to design the model as a brutal truck. Let’s have a closer look at the Chevrolet Camaro off-roader.

Camaro pick-up truck just-for-fun rendering features an elegant upper radiator grille with the brand's logo covering the area between the headlamps. While there is a much larger opening grille placed below it for adequate flow of air to the radiator.

The pick-up also houses the black Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 style wheels, though reduced in size, and wrapped in off-roader rubber to complete the truck's sturdy look. The interesting fact is that the artist chose Ford F-150 Raptor for designing cues, rather than any of the GM pick-up trucks. The taillights, the windows, and front fenders’ designs are similar to the F-150 Raptor.

The chances of producing a Chevrolet Camaro pick-up are zero, but to imagine what a high-performance Chevrolet pick-up would look like also seems exciting. Such a truck could be powered with a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 ZL1 producing a whooping power of 650 PS and 881 Nm of peak torque. It could be mated with a two-speed transfer case, an all-wheel-drive system, and a raised suspension for an adventurous off-roading experience.

The artist previewed the different iterations of Camaro pick-up, each showing a stand out appearance with the help of experimental tweaks added here and there. It includes different pillar design, different exterior shade, different skid plates, and different lighting.

The most impressive part is that the artist created these renderings on smartphone and not on the computer, which is really applaudable. However, it seems that the design language would have better results if applied to a sports truck model.

In case GM intends to continue the Chevrolet Camaro for one more generation, it may expand the range with different body-styles.
