Things we like
|
Going by the recent trends of modern designing, the Mazda CX-3 looks quite attractive by the way it looks. The sleek front end styling with full LED headlamps and wide front grille as well as the aerodynamic side profile with smooth grooves give it an eye-catching stance. The Mazda CX-3 exhibits brilliant levels of fit and finish and strong build quality, which gives it an edge over other cars in a similar price range. The strong thud from the doors as well as soft-touch plastics do give the Mazda CX-3 a premium feel of vehicles from one or two segments above. The Mazda CX-3 is right now the safest SUV in its category, with its list of safety features being the longest of them all. The Mazda CX-3 is impressive with the presence of features like six airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control, Emergency Brake Assist, Traction Control, Hill Launch Assist, front and rear parking sensors, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Monitoring System. |
The Mitsubishi ASX has a size which is perfect for a midsize SUV. Neither it is too small to make it feel from one segment below, nor it is too big to make it cumbersome to drive. It is this size and dimensions of the Mitsubishi ASX which makes it friendly to drive as well as park, while giving it a good road presence as well. For a five-seater midsize SUV, the Mitsubishi ASX feels quite spacious despite not so large size. With raised seating positions, the cabin of Mitsubishi ASX has generous amount of legroom and headroom which makes it comfortable for long drives as well. The Mitsubishi ASX, being an entry-level midsize SUV, is equipped with a good amount of comfort and convenience features. With the presence of features like panoramic sunroof, push-button start with keyless entry, seven airbags, leather upholstery, and touchscreen infotainment system, the interior cabin of the ASX feels premium. |
Things we don't like
|
For a premium midsize SUV, the Mazda CX-3, despite having a striking road presence from the outside, doesn’t have an eye-catching interior design. The dashboard looks way too simple with minimalist center console and not so attractive instrument console makes it look a bit drab. Since the Mazda CX-3 has a curvy design, it results in a lesser practical cabin. Due to the sloping roofline, the headroom is at a premium, while the shoulder room too isn’t that great. For an SUV, the Mazda CX-3 sits a bit low, which doesn’t give it a road presence of a traditional SUV. The ground clearance of the Mazda CX-3 too is lesser as compared to other SUVs. |
The presence of a good amount of comfort and convenience features do try to uplift the premium appeal of the Mitsubishi ASX on the inside. However, the dull design of the cabin, especially that of the dashboard, makes it look a bit dated. The 2.0-litre petrol engine which is present beneath the bonnet of the Mitsubishi ASX is quite powerful for a vehicle of this size. However, the engine isn’t as fuel-efficient as one would expect it to be. The Mitsubishi ASX has been in the market for quite a long time, without much changes jn its exterior design. Due to this, the ASX has started to show its age, which makes it quite difficult to succeed, especially after the fact that there are many new and contemporary designs marking their entry in the midsize SUV segment. |
