2020 Yamaha Ego Solariz gets four new colour options

KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong, the distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Malaysia, has upgraded the Ego Solariz for 2020. The two-wheeler gets four new colour options - Gold, Cyan, Red, and Blue. Apart from the new colour options, the company has not modified anything.

2020 Yamaha Ego Solariz is equipped with a 125 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder SOHC engine, which uses the brand’s Blue Core fuel efficient design technology and EFI as the fuel injection system. The engine is capable of churning out a maximum power of 9.4 hp along with a peak torque of 9.6 Nm. The maximum power and peak torque come at an engine rev range of 8,000 rpm and 5,500 rpm respectively. The engine is mated to a CVT and is further aided by the belt drive.

The 2020 Yamaha Ego Solariz specs sheet get a 10-litre storage compartment just under the dual straight seat. Furthermore, just under the handlebars, there is an additional storage compartment, where the rider can place miscellaneous items. It rides on the 14-inch wheels, which are covered by 70/90 and 80/90 tyres for the front and rear respectively. The scooter is equipped with a 4.2-litre fuel tank.

Suspension-wise, there are conventional telescopic forks at the front, while the monoshock equipped swingarm is present at the back. The front wheel is stopped by disc brake, and the rear wheel gets drum brakes.

The new Yamaha Ego Solariz is one of the popular scooters. It was originally launched in 2017 and received an update in 2018 with new colour options. The new 2020 Yamaha Ego Solariz gets the same price tag of RM 5,234, excluding the road tax, insurance and registration.
