2022 Yamaha 135LC Fi 5MRO Malaysian Edition launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Yamaha is one of the most preferred motorcycle brands in Malaysia and testimony to that is the Hong Leong Yamaha Motor’s recent achievement. The official distributor of Yamaha two-wheelers in the country has clocked a historic milestone of manufacturing 5 million motorcycles since 1979. And to mark this success, the company introduces a special edition Yamaha 135LC Fi.

Yamaha calls the special edition model “135LC Fi 5MRO Malaysian Edition;” the 5MRO is an abbreviated form of “Five Millionth Roll Out.” The livery of this special iteration is inspired by the country's unique patterns such as national mosques and glorious lanes. It also features the Malaysian flag colour scheme.

The production of the Yamaha 135LC Fi special edition is limited to just five thousand units with each unit incorporating a unique serial number ranging from 5,000,0001 to 5,005,000. A special certificate of authenticity will also be provided to the customers.

The 2022 Yamaha 135LC F 5MRO Malaysian Edition price tag reads RM 9,198 (almost RM 1,400 pricier than the standard model). Each purchase will be accompanied by a complimentary disc lock, a 5MRO Bomber Jacket, and Yamaha Premium Basket.

Powering the special 135LC Fi is the same 135-cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled that generates a maximum power of 12.4 hp at 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 12.2 Nm at 6000 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via a 4-Speed transmission gearbox. 

Suspension duties are managed by a telescopic fork at the front and a swing arm at the rear. As for braking, the bike is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes on both axles. Other continuing bits include - 17-inch wheels, side wings, a dual straight seat, digital odometer, speedometer, and fuel Gauge.
