Asiabike Jakarta: Eurobike's Foray into ASEAN
Recognising the potential in Southeast Asia, Eurobike launched Asiabike Jakarta in April 2024. This event marked Messe Frankfurt's first trade fair in Asia focused exclusively on two-wheelers, aligning with the region's growing interest in electric mobility.
The inaugural Asiabike Jakarta in 2024 drew over 97 exhibitors and more than 10,000 visitors, highlighting Indonesia’s growing appetite for sustainable mobility. Building on that momentum, Asiabike Jakarta 2025 has grown significantly—thanks in part to its collaboration with the Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show—welcoming around 140 exhibitors this year.
One of the standout additions? A new showcase of three-wheeled electric vehicles, adding further diversity to the EV conversation.
The event aspires to become the region’s go-to platform for two- and three-wheeled electric mobility, aiming to inspire EV adoption and create a springboard for electrification in key ASEAN markets.
Exploring Eurobike's Expansion into ASEAN
Building on the momentum from Asiabike Jakarta, fairnamic GmbH is exploring opportunities to bring Eurobike to the broader ASEAN region.
This initiative aims to tap into the dynamic markets of Southeast Asia, where urbanization and environmental concerns are driving the adoption of electric mobility.

By leveraging Eurobike's expertise and network, the expansion seeks to support the region's transition to sustainable transportation and stimulate economic growth within the cycling industry.

Through strategic initiatives like Asiabike Jakarta and potential expansions into ASEAN, Eurobike is not only adapting to industry trends but actively shaping the future of electric mobility.
As the demand for sustainable transportation solutions continues to rise, Eurobike's commitment to innovation and international collaboration positions it as a catalyst for change in the cycling and e-mobility sectors.
Interestingly, Messe Frankfurt—the co-organiser of Eurobike alongside fairnamic—already has an established footprint in Malaysia through its Automechanika Kuala Lumpur trade show, which focuses on the automotive aftermarket and service industry.
This existing presence could very well serve as a springboard for Eurobike’s entry into the Malaysian market.
While nothing is confirmed just yet, the idea of a dedicated Eurobike event in Malaysia feels more within reach than ever—and for Southeast Asia’s booming two-wheeled EV scene, that would be a major win.
Asiabike Jakarta 2025 was held from April 29 to May 4 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, bringing together industry players and enthusiasts in the heart of Indonesia’s capital.
Looking ahead, Eurobike 2025 will take place from June 25 to 29 at Messe Frankfurt, continuing its tradition as one of the world’s premier gatherings for the cycling and electric mobility sectors.
Automechanika Kuala Lumpur 2025 is scheduled to take place from May 15 to May 17, 2025, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Malaysia. The trade fair, organised by Messe Frankfurt, will be the largest edition to date, featuring an expanded showcase across six halls.
The event will spotlight the evolution of the Malaysian market through new zones, the return of specialised areas that highlight new mobility solutions, the vibrant automotive culture at autoFEST@KL, and green development throughout Southeast Asia.
