Honda Rebel and Honda X-ADV now available in new colors

KUALA LUMPUR: Boon Siew Honda Malaysia has announced new color options for the 2019 Honda Rebel and 2019 X-ADV. The former appends its paint scheme lineup with two new colors while the latter X-ADV gets one new metallic color.

The new colour choice for the Honda X-ADV is Matter Moonstone Silver Metallic, making the count of total available colors to three. The current color options for the X-ADV are Matte Bullet Silver and Grand Prix Red.

Talking about the Honda Rebel, the mid-weight cruiser motorcycle can now be bought in two additional colors, which are Pearl Cadet Grey and Matte Axis Grey Metallic. Earlier, the motorcycle was available in two color choices, including Millennium Red and Graphite Black.

For buying the X-ADV in the new color, you don’t have to wait as it is already on display at the Boon Siew Honda Big Wing showrooms whereas for the Rebel you need to wait before it’s available. The officials said that it will be made available before the end of the year.

As far as pricing is concerned, the Honda Rebel retails at RM 32,399, the Honda X-ADV with standard color option at RM 63,299 and the Honda X-ADV painted in metallic color at RM65,499 (all prices are exclusive of insurance, registration and road tax). Both the models come with a 20,000 km or 2-year manufacturing warranty.

Talking a little about the models, the Honda Rebel features a parallel-twin 471 cc engine under the flesh that generates a max power of 49 PS at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 44.7 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Being a cruiser, it sports a low seat height of 690 mm - that’s adequate for riders of varied heights.

On the other hand, the Honda X-ADV is an adventure-focused model with a two-cylinder 745 cc engine underneath. The engine is capable of producing a max power of 54.7 PS at 6,250 rpm and a peak torque of 68 Nm at 4,750 rpm, coupled with the Honda’s DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) gearbox.
