Kia Sportage

Kia Sportage has received a makeover in terms of additional features and certainly, the interior aesthetics have also been worked upon to justify the premium positioning of the crossover. As you get inside the car, you see many elements of elegance that give a refreshing feel to the occupants of the car. 

The steering wheel design has ditched the conventional flat bottom and a more rounded wheel is placed which also has silver garnishing on the lower side. Coming to the center-instrument console, the overall design is very subtle and minimalistic. It features a wide 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with all ubiquitous features for audio and Bluetooth connectivity. The instrument cluster also has a reverse camera and other pods for showcasing information. Below the infotainment system, the centre console has a large mix-up of several buttons for climate control and push-buttons. 

The exterior aesthetics of the crossover have been thoughtfully designed to make it appear like a mature-looking car. The exterior looks exuberant and quirky and is appealing enough to leave an impact while it runs on the roads. 

The front fascia dons a Tiger-nose grille which is surrounded by headlamps and LED Daytime Running Lights. The front bumper also has a refreshingly new design which neat lines and curved running all over the body of the car. The bumper is also enhanced with fog lamps having chrome garnishing and skid plates at the lower centre. Coming to the side profile, we although do not see much prominent styling but the alloy wheel design seems to catch our attention 

The rear profile also has large LED tail-lamps and a chrome bar to match the appeal standards. 

The Kia Sportage sits on a monocoque frame, and with the presence of ground clearance and large 19-inch alloy wheels, the Sportage feels pliable on all kinds of terrains. The overall suspension set-up of the crossover is arranged in a manner to keep it stiffer as well as provide complete stability and grip to the driver. 

Kia Sportage now comes with two engine options. Firstly, the petrol-powered is a 2.0-litre MPI engine sparking 155 PS of power and 192 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the 2.0-litre diesel engine generates 185 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque. Both these engines are mated to a common 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Kia Sportage is equipped with all the modern safety features, which include front, side, and curtain airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, hill hold assist, hill launch assist, engine immobilizer, parking assist system, and auto cruise control. 

The best part of the Kia Sportage is its distinctive looks and design on the outside – the front looks really is something unique – it is a good mix of raised stance with curvy design elements in its lamps and grille. Not to forget that the Sportage is sizeably big, which gives it a good road presence. However, the best highlight of the Kia Sportage is the way it makes you feel on the inside – the build quality is excellent, the massive rear-seat space and boot space enhances its practicality and the car is well equipped in terms of features. Kia Sportage is attractive enough to give you a desirability factor at this price tag.
