2025 BMW M 1000 R Competition launched in Malaysia - RM 219,500

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Motorrad has launched the all-new BMW M 1000 R Competition in Malaysia. The hyper naked sibling of the M 1000 RR Competition is built with racetrack DNA and features a bold, aggressive appearance and superbike-level performance.

Price

The 2025 BMW M 1000 R Competition is priced at RM 219,500 (on-the-road without insurance) in Malaysia. Included in the price is a three-year warranty and a three-year Roadside Assistance Programme. 

Engine and performance 

Sharing the mechanical setup with its RR sibling, the new BMW M 1000 R Competition is powered by a 999-cc inline four-cylinder engine producing a maximum power of 210  hp at 13,750  rpm and a peak torque of 113  Nm at 11,000  rpm. This enables the bike to run from 0 to 100  kmph in just 3.2 seconds and hit a top speed of over 250  kmph.

The BMW M 1000 R Competition is one of the most powerful and high-performance Hyper Naked motorcycles in the market that meets the Euro 5+ emissions standards.

Taking riding control to the next level is the M short-stroke throttle, which features a 58-degree rotation angle for instant response, perfect for through corners. The Dynamic Traction Control provides refined slip control and enhanced rider confidence on the edge of traction, especially in Race Mode.

Design and features 

Designed for the streets, this German hyper model is built for precision and aggression. It is sprayed with a striking Blackstorm Metallic M Motorsport hue and features a dual-flow LED headlight with a prominent M logo displayed in the air intake. Other key highlights include -
