A practical vehicle with ballistic-missile performance

I love the spectacular performance of the Audi RS4 Avant, especially the mid-range. What has impressed me the most about this vehicle is how effortlessly it gains speed. It feels very cultured and refined and the gear shifts are very smooth. From a standstill, its acceleration is a headline figure and its gear performance is very impressive. I also appreciate the top-quality and solidly built cabin that gives a very premium feeling. Its sharp style turns heads wherever it goes. However, its poor range and 23mpg of fuel consumption are not the stand-out features for me.
