My perfect boyish ride
I was an enthusiastic part of the Honda Civic fan club for years before I finally took the plunge and purchased the customary red-badged go-faster hatchback. After having spent more than a fortnight driving the Honda Civic Type R around town, I can vouch for the fact that my new buy has exceeded expectations. Apart from being a competent front-wheel-drive performance car, I realised that it is a formidable daily driver as well owing to its amazing chassis tech and hatchback utility. I have purchased the car in the shade ‘Championship White’ since Honda does not produce this hatchback in my favourite shade ‘Phoenix Yellow’. To be honest, the car is visually aggressive and is not easy on the eyes, owing to the garish wing and huge expanse of the plastic black vents. I love the young-racer looks and vibe that the Honda Civic Type R exudes, but this factor is something that you should consider before buying it.
