I approached the Mazda CX-80 as someone juggling kids, parents, and long Balik Kampung drives. The plug-in hybrid system delivers 327 PS combined, and the smooth handover between electric and petrol modes impressed me in the stop-and-go traffic. With a 2,500 kg towing capacity, it feels built for families who actually travel with gear. The third-row is extremely useful. I liked how the cabin prioritizes clarity over gimmicks. Around tight neighborhood roads, however, its length demands a great deal of patience, and three-point turns became routine near older, cramped terraces. For me, the car is more rewarding for planning over impulsive maneuvers.
