A proper grand tourer should effortlessly cover miles. Last weekend, I took the McLaren GT on a long drive with a duffel bag and other essentials. The first shock was that the luggage space is real. I could easily fit in the front a soft board bag and in the rear hatch all my gear. Highway expansion joints were softened by the adaptive suspension to a whisper. But the real moment came when I was climbing the winding forest roads, keeping this car balanced perfectly in a light drift on Sport mode with traction control. I’m really very delighted to have this masterpiece in my garage.
