Rolls Royce Phantom

Like the exterior, the interior of the Rolls-Royce Phantom also remains almost unchanged, with very few minor revisions, including a thicker multi-functional steering wheel, which is electrically adjustable and has heating and massage functions. Rolls-Royce offers multiple options for the Phantom, including leather, veneer, and trim options, further elevating the bars of exclusivity.

While the Rolls-Royce Phantom is offered with the iconic fibre-optic ceiling for the starry night effect, one also has the option to configure the car with a sunroof. The cabin is also high in technology, with the latest version of the Phantom getting full-TFT screens for the instrument console and touchscreen infotainment system, four-zone automatic climate control, fully electrically-adjustable and reclinable front and rear seats with memory function, heated and ventilated seats and more.

The rear seat occupants are further pampered with a massage function, 12-inch touchscreen entertainment screens, whiskey decante, and a coolbox with champagne and cup holders. Among all the customisation options is the Privacy suite, which adds features like a fully integrated intercom system, privacy aperture, electrochromic privacy division, frequency-specific insulation, rear privacy curtain,s and rear privacy glass.

In this eighth-generation version, the Rolls-Royce Phantom has become more authoritative and eye-catching in its appearance than before. The large dimensions do give it a king-size aura, while some of its elements do command even more exclusive attention. 

The chrome-finished Pantheon grille with vertical slats and spirit of ecstasy remain unchanged in the new Rolls-Royce Phantom, and so do the trapezoidal headlamps with laser-cut bezels, LED projectors and LED DRLs. However, in this latest version, the Phantom gets a new polished horizontal line between the LED DRLs above the Pantheon grille.

The well-contoured bonnet and elegant-looking side panels remain unchanged, though Rolls-Royce is now offering new design choices for the 21-inch alloy wheels, including the ones with unique-looking 3D-effect and triangular facets. The fenders and C-pillar also look massive and contribute majorly to the overall stance and road presence of the Phantom.

The elegant-looking rear profile continues to remain the same as it was, with the sides having trapezoidal LED tail lamps with chrome surrounds. As it was always, there are several more customisation options for the exterior, including the choice of 44,000 colours to choose from. 

The Rolls-Royce Phantom has a sophisticated and well-cushioned ride quality, with the suspension combination – double-wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension – paired with air springs, electronically controlled dampers and active anti-roll bars. Depending on the road conditions, this adaptive suspension performs with its self-levelling feature and ride height adjustment. 

Both versions of the Rolls-Royce Phantom have a 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 as the standard choice of powertrain, which is paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. Producing a maximum power output of 563 bhp and a maximum torque output of 900 Nm, this engine enables the Phantom to have a top speed of 250 kmph. While the Standard version can do the 0-100 kmph run in 5.3 seconds, the Extended version does the same in 5.4 seconds. 

The comprehensive safety net of the Rolls-Royce Phantom does include a host of autonomous driving assistance features, with some of its highlights including vision assist, cross-traffic warning, lane departure warning, nightlife and pedestrian warning, alertness assistant, and lane change warning. The Phantom also comes equipped with other sophisticated safety features like eight airbags, hill start assist, hill descent control, 360-degree parking camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear park assis,t and more.
