Rolls Royce Wraith

The overall layout of the interior of the Rolls-Royce Wraith is the same as that of the Ghost, which can be customised and equipped with one of the many configuration options offered by Rolls-Royce. The bespoke leather, veneer, wood, and trim options make the Wraith feel extremely opulent.

Since this is a previous-generation model, the Wraith misses out on the latest, modern-day TFT screens for the instrument console and infotainment system. Instead, the Wraith gets classic analogue dials for the instrument console, a previous-gen infotainment system and a classy-looking analogue clock in the centre console.

The centre console here has a waterfall-inspired design, which flows to the middle of the rear seats, making the Wraith a strict 2+2 seater car with limited space at the back. Some of the other highlights of the cabin of the Rolls-Royce Wraith are a 16-speaker audio system, electrically adjustable front seats with massage function, multi-zone automatic climate control, drive mode controller, and more. 

Since it is based on the Ghost, the Rolls-Royce Wraith shares many exterior elements with the former, especially at the front and rear. The fascia is the same as the Ghost, including a long bonnet and trademark Pantheon grille with vertical slats and a spirit of ecstasy finished in premium chrome. The headlamps of the Wraith, which have LED projectors with wraparound LED DRLs, have also been shared with the Ghost. 

It is the side profile, where the differences between the Ghost and Wraith are evident. Being a grand tourer coupe, the Rolls-Royce Wraith has a two-door design and a sloping rear roofline, while having a short overhang at the front and a long overhang at the rear. In a typical Rolls-Royce fashion, the Wraith also comes with suicide doors. 

At the back, the similarities between the Ghost and Wraith pop up once again, with the coupe having the same set of trapezoidal tail lamps with closed LED inserts as the Ghost. However, the hatch at the back has a more dramatic appearance with a steeply raked design. 

Given that it is based on the Rolls-Royce Ghost first-generation model, the Wraith also has an all-wheel drive configuration and a suspension setup comprising double-wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension. The suspension setup has air springs, electronically controlled dampers and active anti-roll bars, which make the overall ride quality very comfortable and composed.  

The Rolls-Royce Wraith shares its 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 engine with the first-generation Ghost, which is paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and produces a maximum power output of 624 bhp and a maximum torque output of 800 Nm. Capable of hitting the 100 kmph mark from a standstill in 4.6 seconds, the Rolls-Royce Wraith has a top speed of 250 kmph. 

Given that the Wraith is essentially a previous-generation car, it misses out on the full suite of sophisticated ADAS features that are available in the latest-generation Rolls-Royce cars. While there are no ADAS features in the Wraith, this luxury two-door coupe is packed with other basics like six airbags, traction control, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a head-up display. The only advanced safety features offered in the Rolls-Royce Wraith are lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and night vision. 

The availability of the Rolls-Royce Wraith is now restricted, but this two-door luxury coupe redefined the grand touring experience with its high-order luxury. With its twin-turbo V12 engine, the Wraith had one of the biggest and most powerful engines among modern-era coupes. While this might not be as spacious as other Rolls-Royce cars, the Wraith has lots of character and exclusivity.
