Bentley Bentayga V8 Design Series arrives in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Bentley revealed the V8 Design Series model of its luxury SUV, Bentayga, last year. With a perfect combination of exhilarating power and head-turning looks, the special-edition version is really an attractive package. And, now, this ultra-luxurious SUV has come to the Malaysian shores. Bentley Kuala Lumpur has recently announced its arrival.

The V8 Design series features unique color combinations, and Mulliner touches both inside and out. The revisions are purely aesthetic, but they do lend a more visual appearance at a passing glance. 

On the exterior, the specially designed Bentayga has a body-colored lower bumper apron up front, along with twin gloss black exhaust tips at the back. Its monochromatic treatment looks menacing in black, particularly with the Mulliner Paragon seven-spoke wheels. The rims also received a dark metallic gray finish and polished accents. However, the coolest appointment is the self-leveling wheel badge in the middle. 

Inside the cabin, there are several noticeable enhancements, including double-tone color options in four themes - red, orange, white, and blue. It also features the accent designs around the dashboard, console, and Duotone seats for the first time. The Design Series also has special branding on the seatbacks and carbon-fiber weaving for the dash and doors. The subtle badges inside and out clearly differentiate the exclusive model from basic Bentayga.

Under the skin, it is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 with 550 PS of power and 770 Nm of peak torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission manages the power delivery to all four wheels that is accompanied by an electronic differential locking and four driving modes viz. Sport, Comfort, Custom, and Bentley. It can do a 0-100 kmph sprint in 4.5 seconds, before hitting the top speed of 290 kmph. It is also equipped with multi-mode air suspension and hill descent control.

Well, the V8 series is exceptionally premium and enticing, but unfortunately, the number of units available in the country is just one. So, if you really want the luxurious SUV in your garage, don’t wait and grab the only available unit by paying a price of RM 1,045,000 (before taxes and duties).
