The Aston Martin DBX holds a special place in the lineage of the exotic British carmaker, for it is the first-ever SUV to have ever come from its development house. The Aston Martin DBX is being offered in the Malaysian market in a single fully-loaded variant, which is available with a single petrol automatic powertrain and a host of color options, namely Bohemian Escape, Malibu Opera, Mojave Minimalist, Regatta, Aspen Escape, Metropolitan Spritz, Capri Machine and Urban Fighter.
The overall interior cabin of the Aston Martin DBX is dripped in exquisite luxurious leather upholstery options and trim levels, which makes it an uber-cool plate to be in. However, the overall space on the inside is restricted with slightly limited knee room and legroom.
The overall dashboard has been designed very classily, with a leather-wrapped multi-functional steering wheel with brushed aluminium highlights and a full TFT instrument console behind it – a first for Aston Martin. The wraparound theme for the center console looks nice, but a bit conventional with a touchscreen infotainment system and U-shaped cluster for automatic climate control buttons below it. The wide transmission tunnel too looks nice with its brushed aluminium and piano black inserts.
The Aston Martin DBX lacks the stance of a premium SUV due to limited height and curvaceous design. However, the overall design of the Aston Martin DBX surely has got the glitz and glamour in the right amount.
The front profile of the Aston Martin DBX has a traditional Aston Martin fascia with the wide grille with rounded edges and rectangular mesh design for the grille. The bird’s eye-shaped all-LED headlamps are placed on the front bonnet along with smooth contours which flow towards the front grille. The small and vertical fog lamps too have nice contours on the corners of the front bumper, which gets a sleek bumper skirt at its bottom.
The side profile of the Aston Martin DBX might not look upright, due to lack of traditional heightened stance and slightly lower ground clearance by SUV standards. However, the rounded roofline and front bonnet design give it an impression of a sports coupe on stilts. Here, Aston Martin has played well with curves, the most prominent ones of which are the swooping shoulder line from the front bumper all the way to the edge of the tail lamp.
The rear profile of the Aston Martin DBX has got a humped up design in the middle, with the long LED tail lamp stretched across the width of the boot lid. The small windscreen at the back with a large spoiler at the top as well as the wide black garnish at the rear bumper with dual exhaust ports further enhance its overall sportiness.
Thanks to the low slung stance and stiffly sprung suspension setup, which features a 48V anti-roll control system as well as electronic adaptive dampers, the Aston Martin DBX is one dynamically well-sorted SUV. The steering feels sharp and precise and the very limited body roll makes it really fun to drive SUV.
The Aston Martin DBX sources its power from a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol engine coupled to a 9-speed automatic transmission, which has been sourced from Mercedes-AMG powerhouse. The powertrain is capable of belting out a maximum power output of 548 PS and a peak torque output of 700 Nm.
The Aston Martin DBX is bestowed with a range of standard safety features, such as front, side, curtain and knee airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, emergency brake assist, hill start assist, hill descent control, pedestrian detection system, lane keep assist electric parking brake, rollover stability control, electronic stability control (ESC), auto park brake hold and traction control.
Sitting at the top of the luxury and exotic SUV segment across the globe, the Aston Martin DBX stays true to its manufacturer’s legacy of making impeccable and incredibly desirable vehicles. The SUV might not have a large and intimidating footprint, but has a scintillating presence which is truly unmatchable.
The Aston-Martin DBX is a crossover SUV which is probably the best in its class. It has a unique, longish, flowing design which has made the car more aggressive. The 4.0-liter V8 engine is superbly powerful. The cabin is made from top quality leather and is classy like British standards. You won’t like any other car after commanding the DBX.
The Aston Martin DBX has been claimed to be the world’s most powerful SUV. Being a fan of SUVs and the British car makers being my favourite brand the DBX was my choice forever. I bought it a few months ago and I can say without any doubt that the power and performance of this car is something that cannot
My wife always wanted an SUV so I decided to give her the Aston Martin DBX on her birthday this week. She was so happy to receive it and I too am glad I chose this vehicle. She already drives it to work every day and is thrilled that she gets so many compliments from her colleagues. She also loved
I recently bought the Aston Martin DBX which is also the first ever SUV from the exotic British car makers. The car carries the elegance characteristic to the brand’s name and the SUV is absolutely gorgeous on the inside and out. The interiors are comfortable, elegant and as luxurious as it gets. A load of features, superior cabin layout and
Honestly this is the best SUV in the market for me. I own more than a couple of SUVs but the gearing and powertrain of this car has surpassed all the others rather than only meeting their performance. It gives me the taste of freedom and adventure on the road. The maximum speed acquired by the car is near about
I would like to describe this car as a supercar SUV which makes less sense but trust me that is what this car is. The Aston Martin DBX is a luxurious car in every way imaginable, the exterior design is very beautiful and the interiors are very comfortable and premium. This car has all the functionalities that you would expect
The Aston Martin DBX holds a special place in the line-up of the most exotic models of the British Carmaker. The first-ever SUV that comes out from the development house and has been made available in a single fully-loaded variant. I feel so proud to be one of the very few owners in the present time as it got released
