Maserati Levante Trofeo revealed at New York International Auto Show

KUALA LUMPUR: The Levante Trofeo with a twin-turbo V8 Engine captured all the attention at the 2018 New York International Auto Show while being unveiled by its manufacturer. The 3.8-litre bi-turbo V8  is powerful to the core and can produce a humongous power output of 156 hp/litre, which is said to be the highest output per liter any Maserati powerplant has ever produced.

The new Maserati engine, which has been produced by Ferrari in Italy, can deliver a maximum power of 590 hp at 6,250 revolutions per minute and a peak torque of 730 Nm of at 2,250 to 5,000 revolutions per minute. This car, hence, can offer an excellent performance by accelerating from 0-100 kmph in 3.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of over 300 kmph. Moreover, the Levante Trofeo is not just desirable for its sheer engine performance, it can also provide a great stability, thanks to the 50:50 weight balance in addition to a low center of gravity.

The robust aggressive design of the Levante Trofeo is also one of its hallmarks. It has got Full Matrix LED headlights at the accompanied by a new bumper with a large air intake. The large-sized front grille allows proper cold air channelizing along with providing bold characteristics to the SUV. In terms of wheels, it gets 22-inch forged aluminium units available in polished and matte finishes. These wheels are the largest ever fitted on a Maserati. At the rear, one can find a new diffuser with an integrated exhaust.

The interior appearance is also quite impressive with new bucket seats dressed in natural leather with contrast stitching. There is also a 1,280-watt Bowers & Wilkins premium audio system with 17 speakers.

There are no official words on by when the Maserati Levante Trofeo will hit the market, but the production is expected to commence in Italy by this summer. Before being launched in its home country, the car is first expected to hit the overseas markets, which can very well include the US and Canada, followed by the other markets.
