KUALA LUMPUR: The countdown to the 2026 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) has started, and the show is all set to kick off next month. Built on the success of the 2024 edition, the upcoming iteration of one of the country’s largest automotive industry events will feature cutting-edge innovations in electrification, sustainable transport, and smart mobility.

    What is KLIMS 2026?

    KLIMS is Malaysia’s flagship automotive and mobility exhibition, which is set to return for its 11th edition, continuing its theme “Beyond Mobility.” It is organised by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) in collaboration with Qube Integrated Malaysia, uniting top local and global brands to shape the future of transportation.

    The upcoming auto show is expected to see 300,000 visitors across 10 exhibition days, with eight exhibition halls.

    Is there any dress code for KLIMS 2026?

    Yes, visitors are supposed to wear smart casual or business casual while visiting the event. Notably, slippers, sandals, singlets, and shorts are not allowed in the halls. 

    What to expect from KLIMS 2026?

    KLIMS is expected to be bigger and more interactive this year compared to previous editions. Visitors can expect new car launches, futuristic concept cars, electric mobility innovations, alongside exclusive test drive sessions and entertainment activities.

    What fun activities will be available at KLIMS 2026?

    The Malaysian Automotive Association has confirmed a range of fun and exciting activities that visitors can enjoy during KLIMS 2026. It comprises -

    • Urban Play obstacle course: Designed for adventure lovers, this activity will provide visitors with an opportunity to experience what 4x4 vehicles are capable of on rough terrains and off-road tracks. 
    • DJ Playground: The event will feature music performances throughout the day, allowing enthusiasts to enjoy car battles, modified car displays and over 200 vehicles from different car clubs.
    • Simulators: There will be race simulators, flight simulators, and RC drift and off-road tracks for gaming fans, while for the collectors, there will be diecast collections and merchandise booths. 
    • Live performances: KLIMS will host live performances by Malaysian entertainers and artists on the final weekend. 
    • A special Pokémon Pokopia Truck will also be available at the event for Pokémon fans.

    How to reach KLIMS 2026?

    By public transport

    For easy commuting, shuttle van services will operate from eight nearby locations, including Publika, Matrade, and the National Hockey Stadium. Alternatively, free shuttle buses from MRT Titiwangsa and LRT Pasar Seni will be available.
