MC20 Fuoriserie Edition for David Beckham is no less than a dream

KUALA LUMPUR: The made for David Beckham MC20 Fuoriserie Edition was born out of a letter written to the magical city of Miami.

The Italian automotive brand came together with the Maserati Centre Stile to create a customized car that exemplifies the concepts of sportiness and performance.

Our customization program is another example of our brand’s goal to create singular experiences for our customers: Maserati Fuoriserie is a blank canvas, on which Maserati clients can write their own stories and unleash their creativity, making their dreams come true. Designing this special edition MC20 with David, as with all our Fuoriserie projects, is also an ode to the Brand’s past, taking us back to a time when every car was hand-built to the client’s requests, giving life to a one-off, a true “fuoriserie.”

David Beckham said: “I have always been a car enthusiast, so to be part of designing and creating my MC20 through the Fuoriserie customisation programme has been an amazing experience. Cars are about individual taste whether it’s the model, colour, or small personal details on the inside. It has been incredible to collaborate with the Maserati team and designers to create this one-off car that is inspired by my second home, Miami, and my football club there. It is a joy to be behind the wheel.”

This particular MC20 is part of Maserati’s Fuoriserie customization program that allows the customers to create their very own, tailor-made Maserati. The car so produced is seen as a symbol of true luxury and shows the world its unique personal character.

So, basically, the Maserati Fuoriserie is a blank canvas with the House of Trident offering an array of instruments to work with. Rest all is left up to the client, thus giving them the opportunity to express their taste and personality via the car.

In the case of the MC20 Fuoriserie Edition for David Beckham, the designers at Maserati Centro Stile along with the football legend entered into a collaborative and personalized design process. This entirely Made in Italy car translates true passion into a carbon fibre monocoque and is powered by a capable V6 petrol engine that’s derived from Formula 1 technologies.

Now, let’s understand the creation process behind the MC20 Fuoriserie Edition for David Beckham in short. The story begins from Miami which is home to the player’s US soccer club and the end result is a car in black & pink with an interplay between glossy and matte surfaces. Even the team colours are black and pink with the uniforms displaying contrasting glossy-matt treatment.

So, it all started with taking team colours and uniforms as the inspiration behind the car’s bodywork. It features a glossy black tone with Trident logo on the grille and C-pillar in black, with an opaque finish. The Maserati lettering seen on the tailgate is also opaque. As for the pink attributes, the car gets a pastel pink MC20 badge and Brembo brake calipers.

The cabin benefits leather and Alcantara in black with contrasting pink stitching. The Alcantara backrests feature tone-on-tone laser engraving with the headrest featuring a 3D pastel pink embroidery.

Overall, the MC20 Fuoriserie Edition for David Beckham is a beautiful car with the colour pink that greets and bids a farewell with each sunset and black that rocks us into the realm of dreams.
