Volkswagen Polo 1.6 Sedan, The Hatch Facelift Seduces The Carnival in Setia City

KAULA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Malaysia is providing RM0 downpayment and zero interest for seven years on models such as Golf 1.4 TSI, Jetta 1.4 TSI, Tiguan 1.4, Passat and Polo 1.6 Sedan and Hatch CKD facelift, at ongoing Volkswagen Sales Carnival at the Setia City Mall the last two are previewed.

“Raya is most celebrated festive occasion by Muslims and Malaysians of other faiths alike. It's when people travel home to spend time with family and friends. Our aim with this campaign is to make the brand more accessible to Malaysians who desire the performance offered by our cars,” said Armin Keller, MD of Volkswagen Group Malaysia.

Apart from the above offerings of zero interest and RM0 downpayment, customers will receive a RM500 petrol voucher who sign on the dotted line during Volkswagen Sales Carnival, happening from 12 June to 14 June to make the deal more beneficial. On the other hand, The Hari Raya campaign is ongoing till July 31.

Now, moving on refreshed Polo models, for both cars, the changes are limited, to say the least with the Sedan variant taking a minimal approach which is a little too far. It sports a new front fascia with a reworked bumper crowded with a Passat-esque chrome strip and fog lamps, as far as the Polo 1.6 Hatch CKD facelift is concerned.

Another changes regarding the external mode involve revised taillamp graphics and smoked headlamps. Bumper at the rear side has been slightly restyled and reflector strips are featured now on the lower portion. Alloy wheels named “Riverside” of 15-inch, attired this time with the Goodyear tyres.

Adoption of a Mk7 Golf-derived squared-off steering wheels with phone controls are included in the updates which are located inside. Jazzier metal finish has been taken by the centre console while through a new pattern, fabric seats are reduced. Besides these, other things remain unchanged like mechanicals and safety measures.

For the model who receives smoked headlights, let's move on to the Polo 1.6 Sedan CKD facelift. Modifications on Sedan variant are even smaller in comparison to the Hatch model. The only difference is involving a Mk7 Golf-esque steering wheel inside portion. Same “Livon” pattern is retained by fabric seats as used by pre-facelifted Polo 1.6 Sedan.

The price of Volkswagen Polo 1.6 Hatch CKD facelift is same as before at RM90,646 on the road in which insurance is excluded. Same price tag is retained by the Sedan variant. Retailing is done at RM92,646, OTR sans insurance. It must be observed that both the models are delivered already to customers.
