Volkswagen T-Cross teaser reveals details of the exterior
KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen has been working on its entry-level crossover, the T-Cross for quite a long time. It has now revealed its first set of teaser sketches, which is now making rounds on the internet. Much of the exterior design of the Volkswagen T-Cross is now visible from all the important angles.

The T-Cross comes with a grille at the front and a square fog lamp set up as the headlights. The overall design seems to be based on simplicity, but the grille’s size is a bit larger, which delivers a better visual impact. The teaser reveals the sides of the T-Cross too, which looks simple with a notable recess coming from the front fender towards all the way back. The car will ride on 5-spoke alloy wheels, which enhance the overall look by making its appearances sportier.

From the rear side, the full-width LED taillight is connected through the horizontal strip, which possesses the same body color and lined by a black trim. The integrated roof spoiler with contrasted roof rails, the reflector unit, the flared wheel arches, and the rugged rear bumper further adds to the masculine and charismatic exterior of the T-Cross.

Despite the compact size, the T-Cross manages to offer a surprisingly spacious cabin with a lot of features, as expected from the VW. On the driver’s side, there is a completely digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system, presented in an orderly design. The T-Cross is likely to come with a five-seater arrangement only. A number of turbocharged petrol motors will be offered, which would be mated to either a dual-clutch automatic or a manual gearbox.
The T-Cross is said to enter the market as one of the safest vehicles in its category. It will be interesting to see how this upcoming German offering will take on the likes of Ford EcoSport, Nissan Juke, and Mazda CX-3. Let's see how the final version turns out.
