2021 Ford Bronco features three grille designs

KUALA LUMPUR:  Being one of the most anticipated models of 2020, Ford Bronco was supposed to be unveiled by now. Despite the spy-shots and several leaked documents, the new off-roader is still hiding a lot of stuff.  The latest information revealed by a new Ford Authority report states that 2021 Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport will be available with three grille designs - Modern, Classic, and Custom. However, their names can be changed before the commencement of sales.

The information has come through the “sources familiar with the project”, that each of the three designs features distinctive styling and “will deliver a unique persona to appeal to a wide customer base,” says Ford Authority. 

As per the report, the model will be equipped with the Modern grille by default, while Classic and Custom will be optional ones. 

Till now, all the render images appeared in the Modern grille. As you can see in the above image, it has a gloss black look with bold BRONCO lettering laid out across the center, edged by the sleek headlights. 

The classic grille is a hook down memory lane, which can be described as “a nod to the Bronco’s past.” On the contrary, Custom grille will be a fancy option having a “more shiny and upscale look as compared to the other two.” Though, the publication is still not clear on the fact that the new grilles will be limited to the ceratin trims/packages or not.

Earlier, the Blue Oval announced the official debut of the new Bronco in this spring, with that said, the market was expecting the showcase at Detroit Auto Show in early June. But now when the show has been canceled, Ford recently made a statement to reveal the off-roader in this spring only, despite the COVID-19 outbreak. However, the pandemic obstructed the debut of Bronco Sport, which was slated to appear in early April. 

As of now, all the production sites of Ford in North America are closed, and there is no update about their resumption, which somehow hints at the probable delay of the SUV release.
