SDAC-Ford launches three new Everest variants - Platinum 3.0L tops range at RM 430k

KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford has expanded the Everest lineup in Malaysia, with the launch of three new variants, Everest Platinum 3.0L, Everest Platinum 2.0L and the Everest Sport 2.0L, offering customers greater choice across lifestyle, adventure and premium luxury SUV segments.

Launched at the Sime Motors MotorExpo 2026, the new Ford Everest variants are priced as follows -

Let’s discuss each of them one by one, starting with the range-topping Platinum 3.0L.

Ford Everest Platinum 3.0L 

As the name suggests, this latest Everest trim is equipped with a more powerful 3.0-litre 4V DOHC V6 turbocharged diesel engine, generating a maximum power of 250 PS at 3,250 rpm and a peak torque of 600 Nm between 1,750 and 2,000 rpm. 

The flagship model comes mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission with an eShifter, an advanced ElectroMagnetic Transfer Case and a full-time 4WD system, making it the most powerful and technologically advanced Everest variant available in Malaysia.  

In terms of appearance, the Platinum 3.0L sets itself apart from other models with a distinctive grille featuring bold black PLATINUM lettering on the hood, front doors and tailgate. It is equipped with Matrix LED headlights and signature C-clamp daytime running lights along with larger 21-inch alloy wheels and 275/45 R21 tyres, enhancing road stability and driving confidence. 

The 7-seater SUV comes with a power folding three row seats (first in its class), a 12.4-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, a 12-inch multi-touch display with wireless connectivity and Ford SYNC® 4A, 10-way adjustable powered front seats (heated and ventilated), a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, a dual-zone climate control system, a wireless smartphone charging pad, a panoramic roof, seven airbags and a comprehensive ADAS suite.

The Ford Everest Platinum 3.0L is available in three colours - Acacia Green, Meteor Grey and Absolute Black. 

Ford Everest Platinum 2.0L

Coming to the Ford Everest Platinum 2.0L, this one is designed for those who seek a more premium SUV ownership experience without compromising everyday usability. Under the hood, it carries a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine that delivers 170 PS and 405 Nm of torque. 

Power is sent to the wheels via a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission paired with Electronic Shift-On-The-Fly, six drive modes and a part-time four-wheel drive system, offering a balanced combination of performance and efficiency.

The SUV boasts a refined styling with a premium front grille, Matrix LED headlights, signature C-clamp daytime running lights and 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 255/55 R20 tyres for enhanced stability. 

The elevated cabin is equipped with a 12.4-inch TFT digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch infotainment unit that supports wireless connectivity and Ford SYNC® 4A for smartphone integration. Other key highlights include - 8-way adjustable front seats, an 8-speaker sound system, dual-zone climate control, a wireless mobile phone charger, a panoramic roof, seven airbags and ADAS features. 

The Everest Platinum 2.0L is available in four colours - Acacia Green, Meteor Grey, Arctic White and Absolute Black. 

Ford Everest Sport 2.0L

Ford also introduced the upgraded Everest Sport 2.0L at the event, which is equipped with the same 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine and a 10-speed auto transmission as the Platinum 2.0L. The enhanced model comes with six drive modes - Normal, Eco, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Mud/Ruts and Sand, enabling confident drivability across varying road conditions. 

On the exterior, it features a striking front grille, LED headlights with signature C-clamp daytime running lights, bold black exterior accents and 20-inch alloy wheels with 255/55 R20 tyres. The cabin gets newly designed sporty two-tone seats for a more dynamic appeal.

The Everest Sport 2.0L comes in four exterior shades - Command Grey, Lightning Blue, Arctic White and Absolute Black.
