2026 Ford Ranger lineup launched in Malaysia; here’s what’s new

KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford, the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, has officially introduced the refreshed 2026 Ranger lineup. The upgrade brings a revised variant structure, updated pricing, and equipment. 

Let’s dive deeper to know what’s new on the 2026 Ford Ranger - 

The biggest update is the introduction of a new Ford Ranger Sport trim, which replaces the XLT Plus as the mid-spec offering. Additionally, the company has axed the 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel variant. The Ranger Platinum now comes with a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 mill that was first introduced with the WildTrak model. At the same time, the Ranger XL continues as the entry-level variant, with a 2.0-litre single-turbo diesel engine.

Replacing the Ranger XLT Plus, the Ranger Sport is positioned between the XLT and Platinum. It benefits from a sportier exterior treatment with black accents, sports bar, and unique styling elements. Key highlights include - 

• Aggressive grille design mated to LED headlights and C-clamp daytime running lights.
• 18-inch alloy wheels with 255/65 R18 tyres

• 20-inch machine-faced alloy wheels wrapped with 255/55 R20 tyres
