Check out VW Transporter T6.1 Sportline Black Edition van

KUALA LUMPUR: When it comes to vans, the only thing that comes to mind is a boring exterior, basic features, and an underpowered engine. However, when it is a van from the German automaker, Volkswagen things work differently.

The van you see in the pictures is VW’s latest Transporter T6.1 Sportline Black Edition and it looks a lot like the Golf GTI.

Priced at £45,140 (approx. RM 261,430), the VW Transporter T6.1 Sportline is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine making a maximum power of 204 hp and a peak torque of 450 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission unit. The powertrain helps the van to touch the century sprint in just 8.9 seconds.

As for its looks, the latest VW van is quite a looker with an aggressive stance. It comes with Sportline badging, Black Edition decals, a new spoiler, Illuminated sidebars, 18-inch gloss black alloys, and red stripes all around.

VW is offering the Transporter T6.1 Sportline is offered in several striking hues, including Indium Grey, Copper, Fortana Red, and Ravenna Blue, to name a few.

The cabin, on the other hand, benefits from several comforting and convenient features. Included in the list is - an adaptive cruise control, fully digital instrument cluster, 9.2-inch touchscreen, suede trims, and Nappa leather upholstery.

Wait there’s more, VW has even turned it with autonomous emergency braking. So, it’s safe too!
