Haval H6 Hybrid global premiere scheduled for tomorrow

KUALA LUMPUR: Bangkok International Motor Show is opening up tomorrow for the media and amongst all the great car brands showcasing their products will be Great Wall Motors (GWM). The Chinese automaker will be showcasing the all-new Haval H6 Hybrid SUV.

Now, Haval H6 is an existing model in the automaker’s lineup, the new inclusion here is the presence of a hybrid powertrain. With its new and exciting offerings, GWM is trying to follow MG's footsteps and become the next big Chinese automaker. It plans to make a place for itself in the Thai-auto market that is presently ruled by the Japanese.

For the same, GWM also took over GM's Royong production facility, after the American automaker exited the region. The said facility is GWM's third overseas full-process plant with a planned capacity of 80,000 units annually. This facility will help the brand serve not only ASEAN markets, but also other right-hand-driven destinations like Australia, South Africa, and others.

Both the mills are paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Of the two, the 2.0-litre mill is available with a Haldex AWD system.
