Haval Jolion Hybrid debuts in Thailand, check details

KUALA LUMPUR: We all have known for a while about Haval Jolion’s soon arrival in the Land of Smiles and now the B-segment SUV has finally made it to its destination, Thailand. It is here Havel's latest hybrid made its global debut at the Rayong plant amidst the local media.

Now, let’s dive into the Haval Jolion Hybrid SUV detail -

Engine

The Jolion Hybrid is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder mill that is paired to an e-motor. Together the setup makes a maximum power of 190 hp along with a peak torque of 375 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Exterior

A few images from the Headlight Magazine showcases the SUVs design language inside-out. Thus giving us a good idea as to what to expect. At the front, we see full-LED headlights followed by vertical daytime running lights that feature several light strips that double as a single indicator. Another interesting addition to the setup is the now wider 'Star Matrix' which seamlessly blends into the light units.

The side profile showcases a chrome window frame, massive wheel arches housing styling alloys, and body-coloured door handles and ORVMs. The rear gets inverted L-shaped taillights, roof spoiler, and 'HAVAL' lettering on the tailgate.

Interior

The cabin images look neat and clean but are surely modern in the sense of layout and high-tech features.

Part of the setup is - a minimalistic dashboard, 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, seven-inch digital instrument cluster, and a tall centre console.

Safety

Havel's latest B-Segment hybrid SUV packs in a lot of safety and security features. The list includes a host of driver assistance systems along with six airbags and stability control. The former combines the following -

• Autonomous emergency braking
• Blind spot monitoring
• Adaptive cruise control with stop & go
• Rear collision warning
• A BMW-style reversing assistant and park assist for parallel, diagonal, & parallel parking
• Rear cross-traffic alert & braking
• Lane centring assist

Variant & Pricing

Haval is offering the Jolion Hybrid in two variant options - HEV Pro and HEV Ultra. The SUVs price tag ranges from 800,000 yuan (RM 100,400) to 1,000,000 yuan (RM 125,500).
