Jetour G700 to feature Adventure of Extremes Season 2 with Ed Stafford

KUALA LUMPUR: Jetour previewed a premium off-road SUV, the G700, at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026. While the local arrival is yet to be confirmed, the Jetour G700 is now heading into the wild as part of a new collaboration with Discovery. 

Jetour has teamed up with Discovery for Season 2 of a show named Adventure of Extremes. The G700 will feature alongside the famous British explorer and survivalist Ed Stafford, where the SUV’s adventure-ready capabilities will be tested across remote wilderness, rugged mountains, and volcanic landscapes spanning three continents.

Known as the “Modern Robinson Crusoe”, Stafford was the first person to walk the entire length of the Amazon River and is internationally recognised for his extreme survival challenges. In 2025, Marooned with Ed Stafford: Chapter of Water accumulated 360 million global impressions and won the Gold Award in the Reality Series category at the 2025 Telly Awards.

Jetour G700 to take on challenging terrains

• In season 2, Ed Stafford will take on some of the world’s most demanding environments, with the G700 serving as his mobile exploration base throughout the journey.  
• In Marooned with Ed Stafford: Chapter of Fire, the SUV will accompany Stafford across locations, including Ecuador, Colombia, Morocco and Iceland, with no food, tools or camera crew. 
• The G700 will face a range of demanding real-world terrains and conditions in Adventure of Extremes Season 2.

Short episodes of the show began rolling out in August 2026, with new episodes being released progressively.

Jetour G700: Key highlights

• Built on Jetour's GAIA off-road platform, the G700 is a full-size luxury SUV that measures 5,198 mm in length, 2,050 mm in width, and 1,956 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,870 mm.
• It features a bold and elegant design with a large front grille, Matrix LED headlights, and pronounced body lines and wheel sizes range from 18 to 20 inches.
• The SUV runs on a plug-in hybrid system that comprises a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and dual electric motors, tuned to make a combined system output of 904 PS and 1,135 Nm. 
• It comes equipped with industry-exclusive 7+X Intelligent Off-road Drive Modes (XWD System) and automatic cross-axle mode.

• The cabin combines luxury and comfort seamlessly, featuring second-row airline-style seats, a 35.4-inch Skyline screen, a 15.6-inch central control screen, a 17.3-inch second-row HD entertainment screen, and an 8.88-inch rear climate control touchscreen.

The Jetour G700 is likely to hit the Malaysian market next year, with estimated pricing likely to be around RM 250,000.
