Kia reveals Cerato GT sedan in South Korea
KUALA LUMPUR: The Kia Cerato GT has now been introduced as a sedan in South Korea and has been badged as K3 GT. However, it was earlier revealed as a five-door hatchback. It comes with some performance-oriented changes as the engine has become more powerful.

The Kia Cerato GT is powered by a four-cylinder, direct-injected (T-GDI), 1.6-litre Gamma petrol engine which is present in the Ceed GT as well. The motor is capable of thrusting out a maximum of 204 PS power at of 6,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 265 Nm that comes at a rev range between 1,500 and 4,500 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels by a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The vehicle comes with four driving modes - Sport, Smart, Eco, and Comfort. Moreover, for a sportier engine note, there is an Electronic Sound Generator (ESG). The sedan runs on 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels which are wrapped in sporty Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres. A tuning package is also offered as optional. It consists of anti-roll bars, stiffer springs, control arms, and Bilstein monotube dampers. The front brakes are now even larger than before.
Coming to the designing front, the sedan gets red-trimmed gloss black diffuser which is placed at the rear along with dual exhaust tips. Also, the vehicle features a dark chrome grille which has red inserts along the side skirts.

Inside the car, you will find a steering wheel which gets the GT-badge and bucket seats. Also, a six-color ambient lighting system is mated to the dash and door cards.
The entire K3 range has been updated in Korea for the 2019 model year. Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), High Beam Assist (HBA), Forward Collision Warning and Avoidance Assist (FCW/FCA) are given as standard.
