MBf Automobile now an authorised dealer for KIA in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: KIA is an ever-growing automobile maker and is more popular around the world than most people think. The same story holds true for the Malaysian market, and Kia popularity here shows an upward trend. Hence, to meet the growing demand, NKM (Naza Kia Malaysia), the official distributor of Kia cars in the country, has roped in MBf Automobile Sdn Bhd as a dealer.

The appointment of the MBf Automobile Sdn Bhd has been confirmed by new dealership signing ceremony between the two parties. This event was witnessed by the crowd present at the 2018 Malaysia Auto Show, which took place from 27th to 29th April at MAEPS near Kuala Lumpur.

The first Kia outlet set up by Mbf Automobile will have the corporate identity of the Kia Concept Store. This one of a kind, the 3S Kia City Concept Store Experiential Showrooms would be stationed at Menara MBf in Kuala Lumpur. The newly signed in dealer will be investing a whopping RM5 million towards the development of this state-of-art outlet. This facility would be completed by mid-2019.

However, this is not it. MBf Automobile will also rework on the existing outlets of Kia that are located at Jalan Maarof in Bangsar and convert them into a Kia City Concept Store. This project would see the dealership investing another RM1.5 million. However, the work will not begin before the third quarter of 2018.

The Automotive Group CEO of Naza Corporation Holding has said that the appointment of this new dealership is an indication of how much the brand is striving towards increasing its reach in the country. He also took a moment to thank all the present dealers of Kia for their constant support over the past few years. Further, he welcomed MBf Automobile Sdn Bhd into the network. The continuous increase in the dealers' network also reminds about the confidence that dealers have placed on the company.

Only time will tell, how Automobile Sdn Bhd, which is owned by MBf Group, will perform and benefit the brand. It is to be noted that they are not new to the trade. Back in the late 1980’s, the Group was even approached by Peugeot to handle their cars and also to handle after sale services.
