Mercedes-Benz X-Class gets the Maybach treatment via Carlex Design
KUALA LUMPUR: The bold Mercedes-Benz X-Class has now been infused with a bolder appearance by Carlex Design. For this particular build, the car has been dubbed as the “Yachting Edition” which includes various bits and bobs from Maybach.

Earlier in 2018, Carlex Design had disclosed various extreme body kits for Mercedes-Benz X-Class and now, the one that has been finalized is here. The body kit of this car has been crafted from carbon-fibre and includes 15 separate elements. These elements include a fresh front bumper, bonnet cover, rear bumper, roof spoiler, wheel arches and rear light frames. Carbon side-mirror caps and a carbon styling bar have been included.
The luxe X-Class Yachting Edition has been given a mixed finish of porcelain white and chocolate brown paint. While the loading bay has been finished in teak.

The interiors of the new X-Class have been employed by Mercedes-Maybach, including, using the original Nappa Porzellan leather. Other cabin highlights include the leather-trimmed Recaro Sportster seats, a facia finished in leather & wood, a new steering wheel with wood inserts, laser-engraved motifs, and an Alcantara headliner.

Carlex Design is known for creating exceptional designs as well as manufacturing excellent automotive, aviation, and marine interiors. With the creation of this X-Class Yachting Edition, this Poland based company has delivered a showstopper. The production of Mercedes-Benz X-Class Yachting Edition is going to be “limited”, as told by Carlex Design. The car will be priced approximately at €105 000 (almost RM 497,000, including the base vehicle itself), depending on the chosen X-Class derivative.
