The goal of this partnership is to ensure a more robust and efficient supply chain for EPMB, leveraging Sanly China's advanced metalworking, assembly and automotive chassis system expertise. It aligns with the strategic initiatives of MITI and MIDA, fostering technology transfer and enhancing local manufacturing capabilities. Notably, through this JV, EPMB and Sanly are now the only joint venture company specialising in automotive chassis systems in Malaysia, said En. Hamidon Abdullah, Executive Chairman of EPMB.

“By working with Sanly, which has strong ties to Geely and other Chinese OEMs, we gain direct exposure to China’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem and its competitive cost structures. This positions us to support PROTON with enhanced cost efficiency and quality assurance. It also marks another step forward in our partnership with PROTON, which spans nearly four decades. We are proud to be able to work with PROTON as it pursues its regional growth targets and EV roadmap, and look forward to continued success together, he added.
