2025 Modenas Z15GT launched in Malaysia at RM 8,288

KUALA LUMPUR: Modenas, a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Berhad, has launched the all-new Z15GT in Malaysia. The latest model is a striking underbone motorbike that stands confidently in Japanese Sugomi style and comes packed with several advanced technologies. Let’s dive deeper into the details.

2025 Modenas Z15GT: Key highlights 

Price 

The 2025 Modenas Z15GT is priced at RM 8,288 (excluding road tax, insurance and registration). Included in the price is a two-year or 20,000 km warranty (whichever comes first) against manufacturing defects.

Colours 

The latest entrant in the underbone market comes in three striking colour choices - 

• Graphite Grey
• Nardo Grey
• Rosso Red 

Engine and transmission

Powering the new Modenas supermoped is a powerful 149.5cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 4 valve, single cylinder engine that kicks out a maximum power of 16.76 hp at 9,500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox and chain final drive.

Design 

The Z15GT features Sugomi-inspired styling (Sugomi is a Japanese design philosophy which represents elegance, aggression, and power) with a bold front face, aggressive bodywork, and a sharp design. The LED headlamp design borrows from the image of a predator, while the striking tail light adds a futuristic touch to the bike's rear.

The Z15GT tips the scales at 128 kg with a seat height measuring at 780 mm. The supermoped rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped with 90/80 front and 120/70 rear tyres.
