  • About Lotus Malaysia

    A British automobile company headquartered in Hethel, Norfolk, Lotus is the face of sports and performance-based automobiles around the world. The brand has made its name via their involvement in the Formula One racing as the Team Lotus. The cars at Lotus were effective in winning the Formula One World Championship seven times.

    Lotus Cars were the brainchild of Colin Chapman. Currently owned by the Chinese manufacturer Geely enterprises, the brand is looking forward to electrification for its future. At the time of their first production, Lotus’ factory was situated in old stables behind the Railway Hotel in Hornsey, North London. One of the most iconic offerings by the brand is the Lotus Seven that originated in the 1950s.

    Lotus Motorsport has been in the limelight for building and developing cars for the GT tracks. Some of the famous GT racing cars by the brand include Evora GX, GTC, GT4, and GTS. Apart from the racing vehicles, the Lotus Motorsport wing is a bit different from car manufacturing and operates the motorsports activities of the brand.

    Interestingly, there’s yet another wing of Lotus by the name ‘Lotus engineering’. This part of the company focuses on providing an array of consultancy services and comprehensive offerings to a number of OEM’s and Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive engineering consultancy. 

    Coming to their sales in Malaysia, Toycarz is the official dealer of the brand and offer only one product to Malaysia. Lotus sells the Evora is the lowest priced Lotus model at RM 603,141 and the highest priced model is the Evora at RM 616,141.

    Talking about their electrified future, Lotus unveiled their first series production of the electric-based sports car by the name Evija in July 2019. The car is powered by a 70 kWh battery to provide power to the vehicle. The vehicle gets four motors on its four wheels, generating an output of 2,000 PS.
