My impression of the Mazda BT-50 came from driving it on muddy plantation roads rather than the city streets. The 240mm ground clearance gave me enough confidence to cross uneven surfaces without having to slow down constantly. I appreciated its one-tonne payload rating, which handled tools and supplies without feeling strained. The driving position is also high and comes with a commanding posture, making rough routes easier to read ahead. On highways, it settles better than I had expected, especially when free from the load. It feels built for work first, comfort second, which suits my purpose exactly. The turning radius, however, requires a bit more planning in tighter Kampung roads.
