Well-calibrated and smooth powertrain
Before buying the Mazda CX-9, I talked to many of its previous owners, and all of them had great things to say about this car. On the road, this car feels much smaller than any other 3-row that I have driven. With precision, all the driver inputs are met. The powertrain is well-calibrated and smooth. The engine is no way a screamer, but I seldom will need more than 4k rpms. Due to this, the engine of this car never feels taxed. The transmission is always ready to downshift and shifts quickly. The paddle shifters have proven to be very useful on mountain drives for saving the brakes.
