Audi TTS Coupe Arrives in Malaysia: Prices Start from RM390K
Kuala Lumpur: Audi Malaysia has recently launched its TTS Coup in Malaysia, with the prices starting from RM389,900, which is RM105K more than the regular Audi TT's RM284,900. It is the first official “S' model to arrive in Malaysia.
The exterior of Audi TTS Coupe features a TTS-specific body kit that is equipped with a sportier front and rear bumper and diffuser, a TTS-specific radiator grille with aluminium design elements, four oval tailpipes and TTS-exclusive 19-inch forged aluminium wheels in addition to an active rear spoiler that starts working at speeds above 120 km/h. The LED headlamps and tailgate of TTS Coupe are similar to that on the standard TTS but you have the option to choose Matrix LEDs for RM5,000 extra.
Inside, there is a honeycomb-like texture on the dashboard besides a set of electrically-adjustable S sport front seats, TTS sports contour leather-covered multifunction steering wheel with shift paddles, 12.3-inch driver-biased instrument panel display screen, cool air-conditioning vents with integrated display, a 680 watt, 12-speaker, 14-channel, Bang & Olufsen sound system and various “S” badges.
In terms of safety, Audi TTS Coupe is equipped with a Comfort Key, Electronic Stabilisation Control (ESC) which includes Traction Control (ASR), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and four airbags. While you have the option to add two additional airbags and a parking aid plus with selective display system but Audi Malaysia is yet to reveal the price for these optional features, which are likely to be offered in one package deal. The price of the rear-view camera is set around RM2,500.

Under the hood, there is a 2.0 TFSI four-pot turbocharged engine that produces 286hp or power and 380 Nm of torque between 1,800 to 5,200 rpm, which is slightly less than the power specs of the same model for the European market - 310 hp or power and 380 Nm of torque. While the unique engine components of TTS remain unchanged with the same reinforced aluminium pistons, connecting rods, bearings and crankcase in addition to a high-performance air-to-air intercooler system, the engine for Malaysian market still claims a 0-100km/h sprint time of just 4.7 seconds, which is 1.2 seconds faster than the regular TT Coupe. The powertrain of Audi TTS coupe also features a six-speed S Tronic wet, dual clutch transmission that distributes power to all four wheels via the brand’s proprietary Quattro all-wheel drive system. Earlier, the Malaysian version of Audi TT Coupe was only available as a front-wheel drive version.
Audi TTS Coupe features the same driving modes available on regular TT: Auto mode, Comfort mode, Dynamic mode, Efficiency mode and Individual mode.
The Malaysian version of TT Coupe will be available with eleven colour options: Glacier White, Scuba Blue, Tango Red, Floret Silver, Monsoon Grey, Nano Grey, Brilliant Black, Mythos Black and Daytona Grey with pearl effect, along with TTS-exclusive colours, Vegas Yellow and Sepang Blue with pearl effect.
