Bentley Mulliner Bacalar gets seven vibrant shades of the rainbow

KUALA LUMPUR: No matter what the color, Bentley cars are among those stunning ones which turn heads of most people on roads, but this rainbow-theme drop-top Bentley is rare that would twice fold the reactions. We are talking about the rainbow version of Bentley Mulliner Bacalar that emerged as a winner in a recently held online competition by the automaker for its staff, where they had to create their own version of the model.

The design director of Bentley, Stelan Sielaff, judged the participants and chose winners for the interior as well as the exterior of the vehicle. The winner for the exterior design was a woman named Eleanor, who used the rainbow concept to depict hope and optimism amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

As Bentley starts recovery and continues supporting its community, it may create its version of the rainbow from a diverse range of paint colors. The Bentley rainbow spectrum blends seven shades, including energetic purples and blues, lively mid-tones, and vibrant reds. More precisely, these are:

• Dragon Red II: It is a distinct metallic red color that signifies presence and speed. It has previously used to launch the original Continental GT V8 in 2012 and more recently appeared as the launch color for the Bentayga V8.
• Orange Flame: It is paired with a mica pigment and powdered aluminum and was seen on the Bentayga Speed.
• Yellow Flame: It is an exceptional color, recently used for the original debut of limited-edition Bentley Mulliner Bacalar.
• Apple Green: It is a bespoke Bentley color described as a striking pop of confidence.
• Jetstream II: It is a powder-blue metallic gloss that goes well with the company’s Blackline specification, replacing exterior chrome brightware with black types.
• Sequin Blue: It initially comes as a customer request asking to match a favorite ball gown, and now it is a part of the brand’s available color palette.
• Azure Purple: It also comes from a customer request for matching the color of the African Violet flower.

However, the limited 12 units of Mulliner Bacalar have already received the buyers at an approximate price of 1.5 million Euros (RM 7.1 million).
