CAM Caravan arrived in Malaysia at RM207k

Kuala Lumpur: Caravans are something that are rare to find on Malaysian soil. So, whenever such vehicle makes its way to the local market, it's a different way out to see. This time, CAM Caravan, which is made by China Auto Manufacturers (CAM) is officially launched in the country priced at RM206,890 on-the-road inclusive of registration and GST.

This is the first built-in Malaysia Caravan based on the Plutus pick-up truck. Till date, Plutus pick-up truck was the only ruler of the market, marketed and sold by Klang-based CAM in two available variants (4×2 and 4×4).

Under the hood, it is powered with a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine coupled with a manual transmission unit for smooth gear changes. On safety aspect, the caravan is provided with anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), anti-glare rear view camera and rear reverse sensor.

The plus point of this caravan is the space it provides to the occupant. The interior design of the vehicle ensures that every corner is used in an organized manner to give it a luxurious look as well as making it practical from the buyer’s point of view.

Insides are adorned in wood finish, which includes an overhead double bed and cabinet and a single folding sofa bed. Other amenities include air-conditioning, a bathroom, kitchen and a portable toilet. To power the direct current (DC) electrical equipment, the caravan comes with an external power supply adapter, along with a ten-metre long wire for connection.
