iCAUR V25 debuts with EV and REEV options, 335 kW dual-motor AWD
KUALA LUMPUR: iCAUR has added another boxy SUV to its range, but the V25 gives buyers a choice the electric-only V23 does not: a range-extended powertrain alongside a full EV option.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
What is the iCAUR V25?
The iCAUR V25 is a boxy SUV positioned between the V23 and V27. It made its global debut at the 2026 iCAUR International User Summit in Wuhu, China. Is the iCAUR V25 fully electric?
A fully electric BEV version will be offered alongside a range-extended electric vehicle, or REEV, version.Unveiled at the 2026 iCAUR International User Summit in Wuhu, recently, the new iCAUR V25 sits between the V23 and V27. Along with the two powertrain types, the announcement includes a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, a 1.8-tonne towing capacity and an external power supply for camping equipment and other appliances.
The styling follows the family formula: an upright body, round LED headlights, flared wheel arches and a side-opening tailgate carrying a full-size spare tyre. There are also semi-hidden mechanical door handles and 21-inch wheels.

Electric and range-extended powertrains
The V25 will be offered as both a battery electric vehicle (BEV) and a range-extended electric vehicle (REEV).
For the REEV system, iCAUR claims a maximum thermal efficiency of 44.5% and a fuel-to-electricity conversion rate of 3.71 kWh per litre. The latter describes how much electricity the system can generate from a litre of fuel.
Drivers get five energy-management settings: Forced EV, EV Priority, Hybrid, Fuel First and Forced Charge. These allow owners to adjust how the vehicle uses its available fuel and battery charge.
The company quotes combined outputs of 335 kW and 505 Nm for the dual-motor i-AWD system. It can switch between two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive according to road conditions, rather than keeping both axles driven continuously.
However, the release does not break down the motor configurations or outputs for each BEV and REEV variant.

iCAUR also says the SUV has more than 20 built-in interfaces for customisation. These form part of the brand's plan to accommodate accessories and personalised builds from the outset.
Inside, the company lists 41 storage compartments and quotes 1,549 litres of luggage space, although it does not specify the seating configuration used for that figure. The BEV version additionally gets a front boot and 22 litres of underfloor storage.
The front seats can fold flat to form a reclining space with the rear seats. An opening panoramic sunroof and powered sunshade are also listed.
Other cabin equipment includes perforated microfiber and PVC upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats with power adjustment, driver-seat memory and a 15-speaker sound system.

iCAUR says the V25 was developed to meet major five-star safety standards around the world. That is a development target; the announcement does not report an independently awarded crash-test rating.
According to the company, high-strength and advanced high-strength steel account for 80% of the body structure, with torsional stiffness quoted at 30,000 Nm per degree.
Occupant protection includes six airbags plus a front centre airbag, alongside dual-stage load-limiting seat belts.
The listed driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot detection and driver monitoring. A surround-view camera system and automatic parking assistance are also included in the announcement.
Customised models planned for early 2027
The summit also introduced three officially customised vehicles: the V23 Forge, V25 Game Changer and V27 Sun Roam.
The V25 Game Changer takes its cues from gaming, with controller-inspired details and joystick-inspired colour accents. The V23 Forge gets a widebody look and gloss-black detailing, while the V27 Sun Roam adopts an outdoor-themed design.
iCAUR says these three customised models are scheduled to begin rolling out to global markets from early 2027. That timing refers to the customised trio, rather than a confirmed Malaysian launch for the standard V25.
For now, the V25 announcement leaves several key details open, including battery capacities, driving ranges, charging speeds and pricing. It also does not confirm Malaysian availability.
