Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV Roadster officially unveiled

Kuala Lumpur:  Automobili Lamborghini has officially unwrapped Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce, the topless successor of its Aventador SV hardtop. The Italian car maker wooed the audience when the camouflage was ripped off it recently at the 2015 Monterey Car week in California. According to sources, the topless Lambo carrying SV badge is set for a limited production of 500 units. It is 100 units less than its hardtop sibling.

Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini said at its launch that, “The Superveloce is the purest, most sports-oriented and fastest series production Lamborghini ever. The Roadster version represents our commitment to satisfying our passionate clients with immensely emotional driving dynamics combined with an extraordinary open-air experience,”

This powertrain blended with a lightweight body structure bores it further to 350 km/h and a claimed ability to hit 100Km/h in less than 2.9 seconds. With 1,575 kg, it is 50 kg lighter than the Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster. The 650 Nm of massive torque is equally distributed to four-wheels in the all-new Aventador, through Lamborghini’s seven-speed ISR transmission coupled with a Haldex Generation IV 4WD system. Just like the SV coupe, this SV roadster comes with an adaptive Magneto-Rheological Suspension, a pushrod damping system and Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS) for improved dynamics.

Aventador's nameplate is widely eulogized for its two-piece carbon fibre roof featuring technologies such as RTM and Forged Composite, which proffers a perfect surface finish and maximum possible aerodynamics combined with low weight. The two roof parts each weigh less than six kg and can be easily bundled in the rear compartment. According to the sources, Lamborghini will start delivering the Aventador LP 750-4 SV Roadsters by early 2016 with a Lambo price tag of 357,000 euros (RM1,626,854), excluding taxes. Earlier only five units of the limited edition coupe were allocated to Malaysia and we predict the same number for the all-new Aventador Roadster.

Despite being a biotech professional, Sanchit Agarwal's daydreams of driving a Ferrari and chasing cars in a Grand Prix made him jump into automotive journalism. His childhood craving for the cars started with Hot wheels toys which led him to create pseudo cars on his own. When people loved playing outdoor sports, Sanchit was stuck to his racing video games hidden in a closet. The torque of his creative writing coupled with his passion for moving machines pushed him into Carbay's garage. Sanchit also wonders's, why is he writing this as a third person.
