Lamborghini releases photos of 2017 Aventador SV Roadster
KUALA LUMPUR: When Lamborghini's CEO, Stephen Winkelmann, recently confirmed an open-top version of the recently unveiled Aventador SuperVolace, most people never hoped to hear about it before next year. But renowned automotive photographer Jordan Shiraki, who is also the Marketing Director at Lamborghini LasVegas, has released a plethora of shots of the SV Roadster, which is painted in a new tone called Blu Glauco.
The company has further confirmed that only 500 units of the SV Roadster will be manufactured, which is 100 less than its coupe counterpart. Though, it is not yet clear whether the Blu Glauco shade would be an exclusive option for the Roadster, but it will indeed be highly appreciated by the potential customers.
Apart from the open top architecture and limited numbers, the SV Coupé is approximately similar to the Roadster, though the company has not yet revealed in-depth specs.
Lambo's latest bull will be powered by a similar 6.4L Naturally Aspirated V12 engine that produces 705 HP and 690 Nm of torque. This power is supplied to a systematic all-wheel-drive system through a 7-Speed ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) Transmission. As a result, the SV Roadster will closely mirror the acceleration and performance figures of its Coupé sibling, which can achieve 100km/h in 2.8 seconds and has a top whack of 355km/h.
Though, the Roadster transformation has added 49.8 kgs to its weight, it will surely be a thrilling new avatar of the already fast and agile Aventador SV.
